HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

On this very special episode of A Trouble with Words we discuss something dear to our still beating hearts. Scary-ass movies, games and television shows. We face head on the creatures of your nightmares and flood the darkest corners with the lights of podcast mediocrity. It’s a murder of a time and I’m sure you’re dying to hear it. Therefore I present the most horrifying thing to have ever existed while still managing to be deeply entertaining. PODCASTOBER™!

WARNING: Much like the things it covers this podcast isn’t scary. Not even close. I apologize for the overused, overhyped horror themed puns and the constant and  unnecessary play on words. I just gots that Halloween spirit haunting me so everything I say feels very Vincent Price right now. Still there is no excuse.

As you’re about to find out, I’m a big scaredy-cat. Scary movies and video games freak me out, and unlike some people, I don’t enjoy the feeling of being frightened – I don’t even like going through amusement park haunted houses targeted at children. Shoot, I still remember being scared of Garfield’s Halloween Adventure when I was 5 or 6.

So why are we spending an hour talking about this stuff? There are two reasons: 1) Josh is a huge jerk and makes me do things I don’t want to do, and 2) I will do anything for the good of the podcast – I’d even watch Garfield’s Halloween Adventure all the way through without covering my eyes, or that episode of The Hogan Family where Jason Bateman turns into a zombie. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the show! Happy Halloween!
