Welcome to the show! In this episode we’re looking at classic 8 bit games and reminiscing about our childhoods. We’ll discuss the games we used to love and many of the new ones being released now that outright steal that design. While on the subject we will also explore movies and other things that relate because we’re nothing if not consistant. In addition you can also count on us to go off topic and blabber on about what we have planned for our upcoming April video episode where we storm PAX East and make it our own.
This months image is based on a television show called Code Monkeys that originally aired on the now defunct G4 network. We didn’t talk about it on the podcast proper for a couple of very good reasons. The first is because we just ran out of time. We had a lot of things to cover and only 60 minutes to do it in and honestly . . .
It’s just not that good of a show. I wanted to like it. It has a lot of things working in it’s favor but ultimately the 8 bit gag – while exceptionally well done – is no replacement for likable characters and a functioning story. I just didn’t enjoy watching it. Game over.
Thanks again for staying with us as we grow into a mega corporation of greed and power, one nonsensical discussion at a time. We will remember your loyalty most of all. Oh and on a personal note this episode might just surprise you with how good it is. I think this could be our best one yet. It’s Super great! Well actually I guess technically Super is a title reserved to describe 16 bit games. I realize that might make what I just said a wee bit confusing. Let me rephrase. If you don’t think this is the best episode of a podcast you’ve ever heard then I will burn your house to the ground.
Thank you everyone for your support!

I’ve been listening to the album Dead Serious, by 90’s Hip Hop sensation Das EFX this morning, and will continue the rest of my piggedy-post in the stiggedy-style that they helped to piggedy-pioneer.
We higgedy-hope that you liggedy-like our newest shiggedy-show. We wiggedy-worked higgedy-hard to miggedy-make it. We’ll never stiggedy-stop triggedy-trying to briggedy-bring the higgedy-heat. By wiggedy-which I miggedy-mean, we’ll biggedy-burn your higgedy-house to the griggedy-ground.
