A small change to procedure this month. We decided to let Justin booze it up until he felt 10 years younger and then just before he passed out drunk we handed him a mic and recorded our best episode yet. It was a strategic decision that had nothing to do with his intense, almost crippling depression and all consuming feelings of self loathing. Also I think it makes him funnier.
As one would expect, we get into some very heated discussions on the most recent seasons of some of our favorite shows, all while never actually saying anything. This is in part due to how complicated modern TV has become with it’s more than three characters and locations. How can anyone keep up?! Honestly though it’s because of desperately not wanting to spoil anything for you, our loyal listener. Personally, I will always remember the exact moment I prematurely found out that JR was shot by his mistress Kristin Shepard. I was listening to a no rules podcast and it forever ruined television for me. I need you to know that I will never let anything like that happen to you guys. Can you imagine how upset you’d be if we just randomly blurted out that Laura Palmer was killed by her own father while he was possessed by a malevolent entity named BOB? Well not to worry because that would never happen. I want you to think of this as a safe place.
Finally I have some good news regarding the podcast. We’ve decided to change the format some because of how overly stimulating it can be to listen to us for a full hour. Starting in June we will be doing two 30 minute long episodes a month releasing on the 1st and 15th. It will give us a chance to focus more on single topics and should make the show much more accessible to new listeners. Any video podcasts will fall into that same length but will of course continue to transcend all expectations. Expectations you couldn’t possibly have since no one has watched the first one we. . . I’m not bitter.

I need to stop letting Josh go first – he says all the important stuff, and makes all the easy jokes, so I have to actually think. And since I’m usually doing this at the absolute last possible second – 10 minutes before we post is pretty common – it’s no wonder that my material comes off as rushed and humorless. Your words, not mine. (That’s a lie, no one said that. Although, Josh did tell me that one of our listeners said that I’m boring. We talked about it in this episode, but then I cut it out – and all references to that person. That’s the power I have – the power to make a person disappear. That’s what happens when Justin’s in charge of the audio, which I always am.) At any rate, I think this is our best episode yet, and I’d like to say a special ‘Thank You’ to Twisted Tea, and their Half & Half Hard Iced Tea – Real Iced Tea with Lemonade flavor. So this may seem like an odd recommendation, but you should try The Secret World for an MMO. I am not a fan of MMOs (for some of the same reasons you mentioned but many others as well) but I actually really like Secret World
